I have a brush similar to this without the ions and wow,does this feature make a difference!Easy to heat up with several different heat levels. There's an extra button to turn the ion off or on. I always use it on,and I have pretty thick hair so use the high heat. The brush pulls through my hair and really gives it a nice polished look so much quicker than a straightening iron. The cord is long and that soft cord style that is easy to roll. There's a Velcro wrap attached to keep the cord organized in my drawer which is one of those small things I really appreciate!
